Father Ryan High School’s Dance Team earned a pair of top-five finishes at the Universal Dance Association (UDA) Dance Team Nationals competition in Orlando this past weekend, placing 3rd in the Varsity Intermediate Jazz and 5th in Varsity Intermediate Hip-Hop.
“This is a huge accomplishment,” Father Ryan Dance Team Head Coach Lauri Dismuke said. “I am so proud of our team as they represent Father Ryan with poise and grace every day.”
Led by Dismuke and Assistant Coach Jennifer Taylor, Senior Captain Josie Huddle ’25, Junior Captains Emerson Greene ’26 and Gigi Garrigan ’26, the Father Ryan Dance Team built on their momentum from the TSSAA State Dance Competition in Knoxville in November, when they finished 6th and 8th in the State, respectively, in the small division Jazz and Hip-Hop categories.
