Tennessee is well known for its lively festivals and cultural events. From music to arts, the Volunteer State has something to offer everyone. Whether you’re looking for a family-friendly event or an outdoor adventure, Tennessee’s festivals have it all.

One of the most exciting events is held every year in Franklin. The Main Street Festival, which runs over two days on April 22-23, 2023, is a must-attend event for anyone living in the area or visiting from out of town. It has something for everyone – live music and performances, food vendors serving up local delicacies, artisans selling their wares, and more.

The Memphis in May International Festival held annually during the month of May is an event not to be missed. Attendees can enjoy a full line-up of musical performances, art exhibitions, cultural celebrations, and so much more! The highlight of the festival is undoubtedly the mouth-watering barbeque competitions which bring together some of the best pitmasters from around the country.

The Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival held in mid-June is one of the biggest festivals in the state. The four-day event features some of the biggest names in music from around the world. In addition to concerts, attendees can enjoy food trucks, art installations, and nightly campfire jams hosted by local musicians.

Always held the 4th weekend in July, Bluegrass Along the Harpeth was started in 1991 and has had several homes in Franklin over the years. Most recently it has made its home on the town square.

The Tomato Art Festival is another beloved Tennessee tradition; it takes place each August in Nashville’s Five Points neighborhood.
