January 1, 2023 – Speeding was a contributing factor in today’s 12:13 a.m. single-vehicle crash on Neelys Bend Road at Neelys Chase Drive that killed the driver, Gregory Lee Young, 67, of Madison.
Young was driving his 2012 Chrysler Town & Country minivan east on Neelys Bend Road when he lost control in a curve, traveled off the roadway and struck a tree. Young died at the scene. His 61-year-old female passenger received non-life threatening injuries. Both were wearing seatbelts.
