The BMW driver killed in Monday afternoon’s crash on 8th Avenue South has been identified as Zander Jeffcoat, 22, of Gilbert, South Carolina.
The 22-year-old driver of a BMW X3 has died following Monday’s 3 p.m. single-vehicle crash on 8th Avenue South at Wedgewood Avenue. The BMW was traveling northbound when it left the roadway and collided with a light post.
The 22-year-old was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where he died. Efforts are underway to notify his family.
The Medical Examiner’s Office will conduct toxicology testing to determine whether impairment was a factor in this fatal crash.
