Nashville! Come out and join the community this weekend to kick off and celebrate the annual Music City Freedom Festival! It is a great time to celebrate Black culture, community, music, food, and community businesses. This event is a Junetheenth celebration and is a family-friendly event. There will be local food trucks, local vendors to shop from and inflatable bounce houses for children! There will also be live music, so bring your lawn chairs and enjoy the show, food, and the shopping!

Nissan Stadium is excited to announce its first Taco and Margarita Festival! In addition to indulging in chef-crafted signature tacos and margarita pairings, festival-goers will also enjoy live professional wrestling, live DJs and musical performances along the stadium concourse. Kids activities, including face painting will also be available on site. The festival will feature delicious tacos and treats prepared by Legends Hospitality, live performances across four stages, and an array of more than 40 local arts and crafts vendors.

Juneteenth615 is Nashville’s celebration of the emancipation of enslaved people in the United States. The holiday was first celebrated in Texas on June 19, 1865. Juneteenth615, in conjunction with the African American Cultural Alliance, will host Taste of Freedom, where Nashville’s coolest food trucks band together in the name Freedom. They will hold a Proclamation Ceremony at historic Fort Negley Park, that will include a family/community gathering with libations, performance art, and history. It will be a time for reflection and rejoicing. Music, food trucks, fireworks, African drummers, live performances, pProclamation Ceremony, appearance from Mayor John Cooper, and just overall fun for the whole family is expected to be had.

5NMAAM Juneteenth Block Party

The National Museum of African American Music will celebrate Juneteenth with a block party this Sunday on Food Assembly’s Skydeck at Fifth and Broadway. The block party will include live performances from artists of different genres and celebrate the freedom that comes through musical expression. The event will be open to the public and free with RSVP. The Block Party is 21+ and over.
