4Weaving Splendor Education Workshop

During this workshop, learn about Asian textiles from China, India, Japan, Persia (present-day Iran), and Turkey made between the fifteenth century and today, as well as their importance to global trade. After a tour of Weaving Splendor, join a discussion about the exhibition and curriculum connections while taking part in an on-site art-making activity and off-site excursion. Spend the morning touring the exhibition and participating in a silk-painting activity. Then, join museum educators at Abbas Oriental Rugs in the afternoon to learn about the art and cultural significance of rug making. Breakfast and lunch included in the workshop!

5Vanessa Williams with the Nashville Symphony
