An Antarctic escape awaits at Penguin Express, located at Grand Hyatt Nashville’s 5th-floor rooftop pool deck. Enjoy seasonal cocktails with Grand Hyatt’s resident penguin mascot Henry, everyone’s favorite flightless seabird. Penguin Express pledges to help save penguins by supporting Oceana and its mission to protect the world’s oceans. Open Thursday – Sunday, 5:00pm to 10:00pm plus special events for guests of all ages. Two hours of valet parking are complimentary.

3Futurebirds

Rock juggernaut Futurebirds’ newest EP, Bloomin’ Too, is a benchmark that not only celebrates 13 years together, it’s also a testament to the sheer iron will of a group of musicians hungry for the fruits of its labor. The Athens, Georgia-based group once again tapped storied My Morning Jacket guitarist/producer Carl Broemel in the latest chapter of this seamless, bountiful partnership that initially came to fruition with the 2021 EP, Bloomin’.

4Rainbow Kitten Surprise

Rainbow Kitten Surprise is an alternative rock indie band, featuring lead vocalist Ela Melo. The band formed in Boone, North Carolina. Rainbow Kitten Surprise, “RKS” for short, is known for its harmonies, instrumentation, and lyrics. Their sound has been influenced by artists such as Modest Mouse, Kings of Leon, Frank Ocean, and Schoolboy Q. Their first EP, Mary, was recorded in a dorm room at university. They later added three new members, Ethan Goodpaster, Jess Haney, and Charlie Holt. RKS independently released its first album, Seven, which was later re-released together with the band’s first EP as a joint album called Seven + Mary. RKS initially recorded its music under the Split Rail Records label, a student run label at Appalachian State University’s Hayes School of Music, where three of the band’s members attended. From 2014 to now, Rainbow Kitten Surprise has performed at multiple music festivals and other events, including Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival and Austin City Limits Festival.
