Chief Drake Announces the Promotion of 36 Men and Women to New Supervisory Roles

(August 15, 2022) Chief John Drake today announced the promotion of 2 sergeants to the rank of lieutenant and 34 officers to the rank of sergeant effective Tuesday, August 16, to fill supervisory vacancies in various MNPD components.

“These men and women have a combined 331 years of law enforcement experience, are committed to the safety of Nashville, and made themselves eligible for promotion by taking a written exam and participating in an oral assessment center scored by supervisors from law enforcement agencies outside of Tennessee,” Chief Drake said. “I have every confidence in their continued success.”

The 2 sergeants being promoted to lieutenant are:

Jeff Biggerstaff, a 29-year MNPD veteran who is presently assigned to the Midtown Hills Precinct. He will now lead the Madison Precinct’s evening shift.

Jill Weaver, a 22-year MNPD veteran who is presently assigned to the Cold Case Unit. She will now lead the Midtown Hills Precinct’s evening shift. Weaver holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Kentucky Wesleyan College.

The 34 officers being promoted to sergeant are:

Erika Bowden, a 17-year MNPD veteran who will continue being assigned to the Strategic Development Division, now as a supervisor. Bowden holds a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.

Kimberly Brown, an 8-year MNPD veteran who is presently assigned to the Training Division. She will now be a supervisor on the Central Precinct’s evening shift. Brown holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Auburn University.
Brittani Campbell, a 6-year MNPD veteran who is presently assigned to the Madison Precinct. She will now be a supervisor on the North Precinct’s evening shift. Campbell holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Evangel University.

Thomas Clingan, a 4-year MNPD veteran who is presently assigned to the North Precinct. He will now be a supervisor on the West Precinct’s evening shift. Clingan holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Christian Brothers University.

Devonte’ Coleman, a 5-year MNPD veteran who is presently assigned to the Office of Professional Accountability. He will now be a supervisor on the Central Precinct’s day shift. Coleman holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Lee University and a Master’s Degree from Cumberland University.

Edward Conrads, Jr., a 7-year MNPD veteran who will continue being assigned to the Youth Services Division. Conrads holds a Bachelor’s Degree from William Paterson University.

Conor Cronin, a 5-year MNPD veteran, who is presently assigned to the South Precinct. He will now be a supervisor on the Hermitage Precinct’s overnight shift. Cronin holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Bethel University.

Anthony Cucci, a 5-year MNPD veteran who is presently assigned to the Domestic Violence Division. He will now be a supervisor on the North Precinct’s evening shift. Cucci holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Westwood College.

Lee Davis, an 11-year MNPD veteran who is presently assigned to the Midtown Hills Precinct. He will now be a supervisor on the Madison Precinct’s overnight shift. Davis holds a Bachelor’s Degree from MTSU.

Chris Dickerson, a 6-year MNPD veteran who will continue being assigned to the Homicide Unit, now as a supervisor. Dickerson holds a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Rhode Island.

William Erickson, a 4-year MNPD veteran who is presently assigned to the Central Precinct. He will now be a supervisor on the Hermitage Precinct’s evening shift. Erickson holds a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Memphis.

Corey Ethridge, a 5-year MNPD veteran who is presently assigned to the Hermitage Precinct. He will now be a supervisor on the West Precinct’s overnight shift. Ethridge holds a Bachelor’s Degree from MTSU.

Bradley Fort, a 5-year MNPD veteran who is presently assigned to the Madison Precinct. He will now be a supervisor on the Midtown Hills Precinct’s overnight shift. Fort holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Western Kentucky University.

Brandon Frith, a 16-year MNPD veteran who will continue being assigned to the SWAT/Special Response Team, now as a supervisor.

Cecilia Gomez, a 7-year MNPD veteran who is presently assigned to the Office of Community Outreach and Partnerships. She will now be a supervisor on the Midtown Hills Precinct’s day shift. Gomez holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Bethel University.

Brenna Hosey, a 5-year MNPD veteran who is presently assigned to the Training Division. She will now be a supervisor on the East Precinct’s day shift. Hosey holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Ohio Dominican University.

Ryan Howard, a 12-year MNPD veteran who is presently assigned to the South Precinct. He will now be a supervisor on the Hermitage Precinct’s day shift. Howard holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Tennessee Technological University.

Andrew Ivey, a 15-year MNPD veteran who will continue being assigned to the Chaplain’s Office, now as a supervisor. Ivey holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Union University.

John Joyce, an 8-year MNPD veteran who is presently assigned to the Midtown Hills Precinct. He will now be a supervisor on the Madison Precinct’s evening shift. Joyce holds Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees from Michigan State University.

Zachary Lang, a 5-year MNPD veteran who is presently assigned to the Madison Precinct. He will now be a supervisor on the East Precinct’s day shift. Lang holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Western Connecticut State University.

Deandera Payne, a 5-year MNPD veteran who is presently assigned to the Training Division. He will now be a supervisor on the Madison Precinct’s overnight shift. Payne holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Tennessee State University.

Eric Petlewski, a 10-year MNPD veteran who is presently assigned to the Madison Precinct. He will now be a supervisor on the South Precinct’s evening shift. Petlewski holds a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.

Justin Pinkelton, a 25-year MNPD veteran who is presently assigned to the Midtown Hills Precinct. He will now be a supervisor on the North Precinct’s evening shift. Pinkelton holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Columbia Southern University.

Meghan Pope, a 5-year MNPD veteran who is presently assigned to the Youth Services Division. She will be a supervisor on the Madison Precinct’s day shift. Pope holds a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Buffalo.

Joshua Reece, a 13-year MNPD veteran who is presently assigned to the Traffic Division. He will now be a supervisor on the Midtown Hills Precinct’s overnight shift. Reece holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Indiana University.

Michael Russell, an 8-year MNPD veteran who is presently assigned to the Midtown Hills Precinct. He will now be a supervisor on the South Precinct’s overnight shift. Russell holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Tennessee State University.

Abby Sawl-Sibley, a 6-year MNPD veteran who is presently assigned to the Homicide Unit. She will now be a supervisor in the Alternative Police Report component. Sawl-Sibley holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Slippery Rock University.

Nopel Stella, a 5-year MNPD veteran who is presently assigned to the Office of Community Outreach and Partnerships. She will now be a supervisor on the South Precinct’s day shift. Stella holds an Associate’s Degree from Nashville State Community College.

Ryan Storm, a 5-year MNPD veteran who is presently assigned to the Midtown Hills Precinct. He will now be a supervisor on the East Precinct’s overnight shift. Storm holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Lindsey Wilson College.

Emily Tatum, a 6-year MNPD veteran who is presently assigned to the Background & Recruitment Division. She will now be a supervisor in the Office of Professional Accountability. Tatum holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Belmont University.

Trevor Vondohlen, a 10-year MNPD veteran who is presently assigned to the Homicide Unit. He will now be a supervisor on the Midtown Hills Precinct’s day shift. Vondohlen holds a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Tennessee-Knoxville.

Eric Westbrook, a 9-year MNPD veteran who is presently assigned to the West Precinct. He will now be a supervisor on the Hermitage Precinct’s evening shift. Westbrook holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Southern Illinois University.

Keiara Ward-Whitely, a 7-year MNPD veteran who is presently assigned to the Violent Crimes Division. She will now be a supervisor on the Central Precinct’s day shift. Ward-Whitely holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Austin Peay State University.

Kyle Whitfield, a 10-year MNPD veteran who is presently assigned to the South Precinct. He will now be a supervisor on the Midtown Hills Precinct’s overnight shift. Whitfield holds a Bachelor’s Degree from MTSU.
