From Metro Police January 25, 2023: TITANS (The Investigative Team Addressing Neighborhood Shootings) Unit detectives Tuesday evening arrested a man wanted on an outstanding aggravated robbery warrant after he was seen inside of a parked vehicle on Claiborne Street in the JC Napier area.
Dajuantez Stewart Jr., 23, was identified as one of the suspects in a September 2022 robbery where the victim was held at gunpoint by two men and had his gun, wallet and phone stolen on County Hospital Road. During the incident, Stewart fired a shot at the victim’s feet as he demanded the victim’s belongings.
Stewart was seen Tuesday leaving a Buena Vista Pike apartment complex with another individual. With assistance from MNPD aviation, that vehicle was followed from North Nashville to Claiborne Street.
Stewart was arrested and booked on the outstanding warrant. He is being held in lieu of $80,000 bond.
