Betty Borth

Betty Rose Callahan Borth, age 84, formerly of Brentwood, TN, went to her heavenly home after a brief illness.

As was her wish, Betty was able to close her eyes on the world and wake up in heaven to “greet Jesus, kiss her husband Norbert, hug her Mother & Father and be reunited with all her brothers and sisters, and dance again”. God granted her wish.

Betty was born in McCrory, AR, in 1937, the youngest of 9 children. Her family being Arkansas cotton farmers worked very hard as a family to survive the Great Depression. Betty was the only sibling to attend college. In 1959 she met the love of her life, Norbert Borth, and they began their fairy tale life.

After a life of extensive traveling with her husband living in Kansas, New York, Palm Beach, Florida as well as many other places, Betty and Norbert settled in their beloved home of Nashville, TN. Betty, a Model herself, became a fashion leader for Castner-Knott Department Stores and helped launch the careers of many young women. Betty eventually became a top producing Realtor in the Nashville area while also owning and managing multiple businesses including staging homes for several music and athletic celebrities.

Betty most importantly was a Godly woman and a dedicated member of Forest Hills Baptist Church. She served on the Board of Nashville Youth for Christ for several years. Having no children of her own, she gave of herself in many mission trips overseas to aid and save other children.

With all her Southern Belle charm, Betty easily developed lifelong relationships with everyone she met and will leave a legacy of love. Betty is survived by her loving nieces and nephews and a multitude of friends that adored her.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, you contribute your memorial gift to Forest Hills Baptist Church 2101 Old Hickory Blvd, Nashville, TN 32715
