October 7, 2024 – A 6th grade student at JFK Middle School was arrested Monday after he made a school threat in texts to other students as well as in an Instagram post holding firearms. While school is currently on fall break, the 11-year-old was arrested at his home in Antioch this afternoon by South Precinct officers.

He is charged in Juvenile Court with making a threat of mass violence and false reporting.

Threats against schools, special events and businesses are taken very seriously by the MNPD. Those responsible, once identified, will be prosecuted.
