December 13, 2022 – Trey Dennis, 22, was arrested Monday night after he fled from TITANS Unit detectives, who were attempting to initiate a traffic stop near Scovel Street and Dr. DB Todd Jr. Boulevard. Dennis, a convicted felon, was driving a black Nissan Altima with a temporary tag in the center lane of Jefferson Street at a high rate of speed at the time. More Crime!
As he fled, the Altima narrowly avoiding a crash with a police vehicle and a head-on collision with a semi-truck. Dennis was seen by an aviation unit getting out of the Altima at Hartman Park on Tucker Road and running on foot.
Dennis was quickly taken into custody on Shawnwood Court. Upon a search of the Altima, nearly 25 grams of cocaine were recovered.
He was charged with evading arrest, possession of cocaine, and not having a driver’s license. Dennis is being held in lieu of $53,000 bond.
