(July 8, 2022) Investigation by Homicide Unit and Specialized Investigations detectives led Thursday night’s arrest of a 16-year-old for the fatal shooting of Wilmer Antonio Quiroz, 55, at Crestview Apartments on Thompson Place June 29.
David Guerra-Guzman was taken into custody at a nearby apartment complex. A gun was recovered.
The investigation, led by Detective Madison Meiss, indicates Quiroz and Guerra-Guzman had a brief interaction prior to the shooting. The motive remains under investigation.
Another 16-year-old was also charged Thursday for evidence tampering in this case.
