TriStar Skyline Medical Center announced today that it ranks No. 1 in Tennessee in numerous key specialties, according to new research released by Healthgrades. TriStar Skyline’s achievements include top rankings in neurosciences, stroke care, orthopedic surgery and surgical care. TriStar Skyline also ranks second for vascular surgery.
Healthgrades also named TriStar Skyline as one of America’s 50 best hospitals for vascular surgery and surgical care two years in a row. Also, TriStar Skyline was named one of America’s 100 best hospitals in the following categories:
• Orthopedic surgery
• Stroke care (three years in a row)
• Critical Care (two years in a row)

These accolades from Healthgrades are in addition TriStar Skyline’s recent awards received by the American Heart Association’s Get With The Guidelines® – Stroke Gold Plus award for excellence in stroke care, along with the Target: Stroke Elite Plus Honor Roll and Target: Type 2 Diabetes Honor Roll.
To determine the top hospitals in specialty care for 2025, Healthgrades evaluated risk-adjusted mortality and complication rates for more than 30 conditions. Independent, publicly available data is used to determine a hospital’s eligibility for these awards.
