April 29, 2025 – Three teen carjacking suspects, Gerson Toz, 15, Jesus Orellana-Delcid, 15, and Josua Perez, 16 was arrested this week.
The trio were traveling in a stolen Toyota Tacoma that had been carjacked early Saturday morning on Bombadil Lane. At 1:50 a.m. a man reported that three armed young male Hispanics approached him in the parking lot of an apartment complex at 850 Richards Road. They took his wallet and phone before driving off in his Saturn.
About ten minutes later, a second carjacking occurred at 300 Bakertown Road. A woman was in her Infiniti Q70 when she was rammed by the Tacoma pickup truck. The armed suspects approached her and fled in the Infiniti, abandoning the pickup truck. The suspects also abandoned the Saturn at Tusculum Road and Park Court after setting it on fire.
A police helicopter was overhead relaying their location to ground units. Detectives successfully deployed spike strips on Hamilton Church Road. The suspects bailed from the Infiniti and fled on foot into a wooded area. With assistance from the police helicopter, Canine officers, South Precinct officers and Violent Crime detectives, all three were arrested and charged in Juvenile Court. Toz was also arrested in October 2023, at age 14, and charged with carjacking.
