William Ronald “Ronnie” Shoemake, age 84, of Mount Juliet, Tennessee, passed away on June 6, 2025. He was born on September 26, 1940, in Smith County, Tennessee, to the late Seldon and Grady Lee Shoemake. Ronnie was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and brother whose legacy will be remembered with deep love and gratitude.

Ronnie graduated from Gordonsville High School and went on to build a life marked by hard work, dedication, and devotion to his family. He was employed with H.G. Hills for 41 years, where he became known for his reliability and strong work ethic. After retirement, Ronnie remained active in his community through his lawn mower repair business, a service that reflected both his mechanical skill and his commitment to helping others.

On March 23, 1982, Ronnie married the love of his life, Darlene Shoemake, in Springfield, Tennessee. Together, they built a loving home and shared over four decades of memories and companionship.

Ronnie’s greatest joy was spending time with his family. He cherished every moment with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, always putting their happiness and well-being above all else.

He was preceded in death by his parents; daughters, Shannon Shoemake and Kelly Hambick; and siblings, Mildred Williams; Freeman Shoemake; and Billy Shoemake.

Ronnie is survived by his devoted wife, Darlene Shoemake; his children, Tim Shoemake, Tammy Camp, and Ron Shoemake; ten grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and his sister, Lovey Bergstrom.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 4:00pm to 8:00pm on Tuesday, June 10, 2025 at Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home & Memorial Park at 660 Thompson Ln., Nashville, TN 37204.

A celebration of life service will be at 1:00pm on Wednesday, June 11, 2025 at Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at 12:00pm until the time of service.
