William B. Travis, 64, of Goodlettsville passed away Monday, August 30, 2021.
Born March 19, 1957 in Baltimore, MD, he was the son of the late Thomas Travis and Delphine Good Travis. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Lucille Maynard.
William worked as an HVAC technician and was also a heavy equipment operator for Arnold Construction. He was also a talented mechanic. William loved his music, especially rock’n’roll. He was an avid Tennessee Titans fan and was a history buff. His TV was usually set to the Discovery or History Channel. A proud grandfather, the light of his life was his 7-month-old grandson, Noble.
He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, James “Willie” (Ashley) Travis; grandson, Noble; his brothers, Donald (Mary) Travis, and Johnny Travis; his sister, Alice McMurtry; his life-partner, Chandra Dickie; and many nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life service will be held Saturday at 3 PM at Cole & Garrett Funeral Home, Goodlettsville. Visitation will precede the service from 1 until 3 PM. Burial will be at Morrow Cemetery, Hampshire, TN.
