Thomas “Tony” R. Perry Jr., age 69, of Gallatin, Tennessee passed away on Tuesday, May 6, 2025.
Tony was born Tuesday, August 23, 1955 in Topeka, Kansas and preceded in death by his father, Thomas Rye Perry, Sr.
Tony was a member of Nashville Road Church of Christ. He was a veteran of the US Navy, having served on the USS Saratoga during Vietnam; he retired from Piedmont Natural Gas after 45 years. Tony was an avid UT Vols fan and also loved fishing.
Tony is survived by his wife of 35 years, Sherry Perry; mother, Betty Buttrey; children, Keith (Andi) Perry, Ricky (Nanci) Perry, Renee’ (Trevor) Bates, Shane Roberts; ten grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Family and friends will gather to remember Tony at a visitation Friday, May 9, 2025 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 11:00 until 12:00 Saturday, May 10, 2025 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday, May 10, 2025 at 12:00 PM with Bro. Andrew Spivey in the chapel of Forest Lawn Funeral Home 1150 South Dickerson Road, Goodlettsville, TN 37072. https://www.dignitymemorial.com/obituaries/goodlettsville-tn
Burial will follow in the Garden of Mediation at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Serving as pallbearers are Keith Perry, Ricky Perry, Shane Roberts, Dalton Roberts, Andy Dyer, Drew Dyer, Tucker Swallows, Trevor Bates and H. T. Wilson.
