Thomas “Tom” Wilson Hart, born on September 5, 1940, passed away from natural causes on November 30, 2025, at the age of 85. A resident of Lebanon, Tennessee.
Preceded in death by his mother, Gladys Wilson Hart; father, Alexander Ewing Hart; mother of his children, Janet Richardson Hart; wife of 34 years, Janet Barton Hart; and grandchild, Amber Ryder.
Tom is survived by his children Debra L. Dishmon, Thomas W. Hart (Linda Gail), Kim McKenzie (Barry); step-children Kimberly Dowlen Ryder, Shannon Dowlen Jenkins; grandchildren Amy, Magen, Alex, Courtney, Jacob and Joshua; great-grandchildren Triston, Bella, Thomas, Adam, Isaac, Landon; great-great-grandchildren Aleeah, Rylee, Holley; as well as numerous friends and loved ones.
Tom graduated from Vanderbilt in 1962 as a Professional Engineer. He was the Vice President of Wright Industries, later owner and operator of Hart Engineering, until his retirement.
He was a member of the Jamestowne Society and enjoyed the Hart family reunions in Springfield, TN.
Tom loved being with his family and friends, hunting, fishing, antique cars, Vanderbilt football and basketball, and the Lebanon senior center, where he loved playing cards and shooting pool.
He was a member of Victory Baptist Church.
