Sheryl A. Kirby, 77, of Nashville, Tennessee passed away peacefully on December 29, 2024.
She was born June 29, 1947, in Modesto, California, to Jerald and Agatina White.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Jerald White and Agatina White, stepson, Michael “Todd” Kirby, and sister, Donna Nunes.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 34 years, Larry Kirby, children Lorilee Parrish, Roxane White, Cindy Kirby, and Jeff Kirby, 15 grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Sheryl was a wonderful wife and mother, deeply involved in her community at Donelson Church of Christ. She cherished attending ladies’ Bible classes and spending quality time with her church family.
In retirement, Sheryl and Larry spent 12 delightful years exploring the United States and Canada in their RV. Although Nashville was their home base, their adventures took them to many distant places, sometimes accompanied by other family members.
Sheryl had a passion for music, particularly playing the dulcimer. She began as a self-taught musician and later took formal classes. During her retirement, she also discovered a love for painting, attending classes at 50 Forward in Donelson. Additionally, she was an avid reader, often staying up late to finish just one more chapter.
Sheryl was also an amazing cook, known for adding special touches to her own recipes. Every meal she prepared was a special occasion, and on birthdays and holidays, she expressed her love for friends and family through her culinary talents.
