Sherrie McElroy, age 78 of Hermitage passed away peacefully on January 6, 2025.
She was a beloved grandmother, cat lover, and beach enthusiast. Sherrie found immense joy in spending time with her grandchildren, who were the light of her life. She had a deep affection for her feline companions and found serenity in the sound of ocean waves crashing along the shore. Her warm spirit and love for simple pleasures will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother Michael Hayden.
She is survived by:
Son – James (Erica) McElroy
Daughter – Melissa (Rick) Richter
Sister – Marcelle (John) Reeves and Shelia (Ted) Binkley
Grandchildren – Zek, Hudson, Rhett, Gavin, Reagan, and Wyatt Richter
Great Grandchildren- Jack and Charlie Richter
