Shatoya Roshel Woodard of Madison, Tennessee departed this earthly home on November 19, 2024.

She was born in Springfield Tennessee on January 11, 1988 to Deanna Leavell Dunn and Leo Woodard.

She professed her hope in Christ at an early age at Keysburg Baptist Church in Olmstead, KY under the leadership of Pastor Leo Utley. She was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Nashville, Tennessee.

Shatoya began her education in Robertson County School System, but later completed her education in Rutherford County School System. She was a 2006 graduate of Lavergne High School in Lavergne TN. She was a graduate of Culinary Arts School in Indiana, and attended Vol-State Community College. She was employed at Skyline Hospital in Nashville TN.

Growing up she attended Silver Springs Missionary Baptist Church, Smyrna TN where she was an active member of the youth choir, Sunday School, and bible study. She enjoyed playing basketball and fast pitch softball. “Shaq Diesel” as she was known for her dominance in the paint and her aggressive play. She was a tough cookie on the court, but had a very kind heart because she did not mind helping those that needed help especially those who could not help themself.

Growing up she enjoyed watching movies, shopping, listening to music and playing with her friend and family. Her love were her nieces and nephews where she spoiled them non-stop. Aunt TT is what they called her. They loved her as much as she loved them.

Shatoya was preceded in death by her grandfather Lee Leavell, Uncle Steve Leavell, and Cousin Rosalyn Osborne.

She leaves to mourn her mother, Deanna (Rev. Eugene) Dunn, Springfield, TN and father, Leo Woodard, Murfreesboro, TN. brothers: Trent Woodard, Murfreesboro TN, Joshua (Krista) Woodard, Murfreesboro, TN, Emmanuel Woodard, Smyrna, TN, and Sister-Cousin Jurnee Boone (DeMarcus) Brewer, Springfield, TN. Grandparents Bessie Leavell, Springfield, TN, Lee (Barbare Ann) Woodard, Springfield, TN. Aunts: Shelia (Jessie) Osborn, Clarksville TN, Cynthia (Robert) Dowlen, Springfield, TN, Patrisha Leavell Boone, Springfield, TN, Patricia Stanton, Springfield, TN, Cynthia Tyler, Springfield, TN, Marsha (Donald) Washington, Springfield, TN, Alisha (Darrell) Pickney. Uncles: Elder (Garnetta) Leavell, Springfield, TN, Earl (Debra) Leavell, Glendale, AZ, Don (Lateria) Leavell, Clarksville, TN, Eliotte (Peggy Jo) Stanton, Springfield, TN, Cleophus Stanton, Springfield, TN, Rayford (Shirley) Stanton, Springfield, TN, Lee (Dove) Stanton, Alanta, GA. Beloved nieces, Mya Faith Woodard, Scarlette Rose Woodard and Alyea Woodard. Beloved Nephews, Emmanuel Woodard Jr, Baylor, and Ever Woodard. And a host of cousins and friends.

Celebration of life services will be conducted Tuesday, November 26, 2024, at 12 noon in the Oakhurst Chapel of the Robertson County Funeral Home with Reverend Randy Taylor officiating.
