OBITUARY: Scott Lindsay

Scott Lindsay, age 88 of Hendersonville passed away peacefully June 9, 2025. Proceeded in death by parents John Paul Lindsay, MD, Margaret Colsher Lindsay, and sister Ann Lindsay Holaday. Survived by his wife Gaile Shepherd Lindsay of 66 years, son Gary Lindsay and daughter Glenda Ann Lindsay of Nashville.

Born in Nashville Tennessee, graduate of West High School of Nashville and Vanderbilt University Peabody College. But who was he? In youth, Scott was an exceptional athlete. He was a loving and caring husband and father. He strove to be kind to all those around him.

Scott was educated as biologist and initially worked for the state of TN in infection diseases. He worked for years in medical and computer sales. He was an avid outdoorsman who constantly strove to improve his skills.

Scott’s primary interests were fishing and waterfowl hunting. In his later years he was a woodworker and ravenous reader of history. He lived and saw life as an adventure.
