It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Samuel Taylor Beals Jr. Devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Sam passed away peacefully at home on Dec. 30, 2024.
He will always be known for his dedication to his family and love for God. Sam’s loving nature is seen daily in those that he mentored, prayed for and watched over. All that loved him knew of his passion for his dogs. They were his babies, “ his girls!”
His legacy of compassion, strong work ethic, humor and friendship will stay with each person that crossed his path. Even though he had a long career with the Postal Service his secondary career as an auctioneer was where he found enjoyment. Upon retirement, he became a self-proclaimed “ professional Papa.” His love for the Lord came first. A faithful friend for life. A true southern gentleman!
He is survived by his wife, Dianne “Dee” Beals; children, Christy Beals McCord (Scott), Taylor Beals (Kimberly); grandchildren, Evan Christian (Tommi), Austin Christian (Kelly), Cyan Beals Valdes (Hunter), Samuel Beals IV, Danielle McCord Baird (Elijah) and Caleb McCord; great-grandchildren, Eliott Baird, Banks Baird, Blair Christian and Baby Christian.
Funeral services with Military Honors will be conducted on Friday, January 24, 2025, at 7:00 p.m.(visitation 5:00 – 7:00 p.m.) at Woodbine Funeral Home, Hickory Chapel, 5852 Nolensville Road. https://www.woodbinefuneralhome.com
