Rosie Lee Key, 72, of Lebanon, TN passed away on Thursday, July 2, 2026, at Centennial Hospital in Nashville, TN. Rosie was born April 03, 1954, to father, John Elmard Cox and mother, Stella Jane Doulworth of Celina, TN. She resided in Lebanon, TN with her son Kenny Key and daughter-in-law Tiffany Key. She had been struggling with Heart Failure, which is a tribute to her passing.
Ms. Rosie Key is preceded in death by her longtime companion, Walter Ray Handy of Lebanon TN, her parents John and Stella Cox, and one brother, Melvin Cox of Lebanon, and one sister Leedell Bain of Lebanon.
Rosie is survived by her four children, Tina (Donald) Mabe, of Jackson County, TN, Tammie (Jack Boykin) Key of Lebanon, TN, Kenny (Tiffany) Key of Lebanon, TN, and Deana Nicole (Nick Lorentz) Handy, of Lebanon, TN.
12 Grandchildren; Traci Hensley, Kimberly Byrd, Michael Hensley, Shawn Hensley, Steven Hensley, Will Shackleton, Brianna Fite, Ashleigh Hirst, Emily Handy, Hannah Ricketts, Savannah Ricketts, and Sienna Ricketts;
17 Great-Grandchildren; Xavier Hensley, Jolene Hensley, Jaylen Turner, Brantlee Hensley, Jazmyn Hensley, Kalon Sisco, Stella Hensley, Waylon Hensley, Abby Hensley, Lilo Hensley, Natalie Hensley, Eloise Shackleton, Braydyn Shackleton, Paisleigh Grace, Kloe Reynolds, Kamiya Ricketts, and Blaze Wayne Ricketts.
She also has two Brothers, Grady Cox and Troy Cox of Celina, TN.
There will not be a public service per Ms. Key’s request.
