Robert-Wade-Jackson

Robert “Wade” Jackson of Brentwood, Tennessee passed away too soon at 57 years old on Monday, April 21st, 2025.

Born in Dearborn, Michigan, on December 29th, 1967, he graduated from Cranbrook in 1986 and received his Bachelor of Arts in Theatre from Kalamazoo College in 1990.

It was there he developed his deep love of storytelling through theatre and chose to pursue his talent in Stage Management. After marrying his first wife, Karen Jackson, in 1990, they moved to New York City, where he worked on Broadway as a Production Stage Manager for ten years. By 34 years old, he had worked on the Pulitzer award-winning play Three Tall Women and attended the Tony Awards three times; most notably in 2000, when Copenhagen took home three Tonys, including Best Play. In 2002, he, Karen, and their three children moved to Tennessee to be closer to his parents, the late Robert and Jane Jackson. After sixteen years of marriage, Wade and Karen divorced in 2006.

In Tennessee, Wade served as the Executive Director for a nonprofit organization and spent most weekends coaching his sons on the baseball diamond and football field, or teaching his daughter the art of stage management in her high-school productions. In 2012, he married his second wife, Amy Lowe, and her two daughters brought their blended “Jackson Party” to a total of seven for the following eight years. As Wade returned to life as a bachelor in 2020, he lived with his youngest sister and all over Nashville.

He is survived by both his previous wives; his children Ashling Chupak (28), Everett Jackson (25), Forrest Jackson (23); his siblings Lee Jackson, Lynn Walsh, Beth Anctil; and many nieces and nephews. He will be very dearly missed.

A visitation for Wade was held Friday, April 25, 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:30 PM at Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home & Memorial Park, 660 Thompson Ln, Nashville, TN 37204, followed by a celebration of life from 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM. https://www.dignitymemorial.com/obituaries/nashville-tn
