Rebecca “Becky” (Jones) Huffman, 77, of Brentwood, Tennessee, passed away peacefully while undergoing physical rehabilitation on Friday, June 13, 2025. She was born in Nashville, Tennessee, on March 31, 1948, to parents Thomas and Pauline Jones.
Mrs. Huffman was a proud alumnus of DuPont High School in Old Hickory, Tennessee. In past years, she enjoyed participating in the Music City Bop Club for nights out dancing with her husband Gerald and friends, as well as traveling to fun and exotic places for vacations with family. While she had many loves in her life, her main love was her family, especially her grandchildren, who referred to her as “Gram.”
Professionally, Mrs. Huffman was involved in accounting and finance throughout her professional career. She could best be described as strong, polite, kind, grateful, and gracious. As she was always dressed to the “nines” and was always a southern lady, Mrs. Huffman was certainly a “Steel Magnolia”.
She loved well… was well-loved… and will be greatly missed.
Mrs. Huffman is preceded in death by her husband, Gerald H. Huffman; her father, Thomas Gilbert Jones; and her mother, Pauline (Tomlin) Jones. She is survived by her sister, Billie Durham; sons Brock Parks (Amy) and Steve Parks (Karen); grandchildren Sam Parks, Emily Parks, and their mother, Leanne Parks; Zoe Parks, Jake Parks, and Luke Parks.
There will be a Gathering of Family and Friends on Wednesday June 18, at the Hermitage Funeral Home from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM. The time of visitation will be followed by a Celebration of Life service in the Tulip Grove Chapel at the funeral home with Dr. Judson Hays officiating. Family members will serve as Pallbearers. Following the service, Mrs. Huffman will be laid to rest in the Garden of Memories at Hermitage Memorial Gardens.
