Patsy Pope Frizzell of Nashville, Tennessee passed away on Wednesday, November 16, 2022, she was 90 years old.
Patsy was a dedicated Christian wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was the wife of an elder in the church for 32 years. She was a member of the Crieve Hall church of Christ. She will be best remembered for her ever present smile and contented spirit.
Patsy was preceded in death by her parents, John and Jewel Pope. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Ray Frizzell. They were married for 62 years.
She is survived by her sons, Jeff (Beth) Frizzell and Tim (Janie) Frizzell; seven grandchildren, Amy (David) Bodkin, Kim (Adam) Tomlinson, Andy (Ashley) Frizzell, Katie (Justin) Griner, Betsy (Aaron) Palmer, Scott (Ashley) Frizzell and John (Kaitlyn) Frizzell; 18 great-grandchildren and one on the way, Jessica and Austin Bodkin; Ava, Jack, Edith and Henry Tomlinson; Eden, Ezra and Abram Ray Frizzell; Elizabeth and Joe Griner; Celeste and Harmony Palmer; Claire, Juliet, Lola and Lucy Frizzell; and Darcy Frizzell; and brother, John (Laverne) Pope.
The family would like to express appreciation for all the caregivers who helped Patsy so faithfully during her time of illness. These treated Patsy as their own mother. The staff at Richland Place were wonderful to Patsy and her family in her time of greatest need.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, November 26, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at Woodbine Funeral Home, Hickory Chapel, 5852 Nolensville Road by her sons, Jeff and Tim Frizzell. Interment will be Monday, November 28, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. at Middle Tennessee Veterans Cemetery.
