Patrick Shales, age 73 of Joelton, Tennessee passed away Wednesday, September 29, 2021 at Skyline Medical Center in Nashville.
Family will receive friends at Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Pleasant View for a visitation on Monday, October 4th from 4:00 PM-8:00 PM. There will not be a service following the visitation and his remains will be cremated following the visitation.
Mr. Shales was born on August 31, 1948 in Waukegan, Illinois to the late Delbert & Maybell Creighton Shales. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in the Vietnam War. Patrick had worked in the medical industry delivering supplies and also his recent was the groundskeeper in the school system. He loved to take care of all stray animals and was an amazing person. Patrick was a loving father, grandfather, and was proud to be an American. He was of the Catholic faith.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a daughter, Misti Shales; sister, Ruthie Shales; and brothers, Bobby and James Shales.
He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Debra Shales; son, Bill (Patti) Shales; brothers, Butch (Sharon) Shales, Jack (Sue) Shales, and Lloyd Shales; sisters, Judith Romero & Patsy Matthews; a son by love, Medford (Patricia) Matthews; grandchildren, Xavier (Jordan) Matthews & Medford Matthews, Jr.; and great-grandchildren, Elliott and Ruby Matthews.
