Michael Scott Steakley, age 57 of Nashville, Tennessee passed away on November 1, 2024, at the Alive Hospice Residence in Nashville, TN.
He was born February 9, 1967 in Nashville, TN.
After graduating from David Lipscomb University, Mike began his ministerial career as the youth minister at the Westwood Church of Christ in McMinnville, TN. He then served as the minister for the Bellwood Church of Christ in Murfreesboro and, lastly, as the minister of the Rock Island Church of Christ in Rock Island, TN. Mike loved and helped with all of the special events with the church. Christ and the church were Mike’s life.
Surviving are his children, Leah (Parker) Long, Lane Steakley and Addison Steakley; his parents, Karl and Sue Steakley; and his brother, Steve (Kathy) Steakley.
A private family graveside service will be held on Wednesday, November 6, 2024. A Celebration of Life service will take place at the Westwood Church of Christ in McMinnville, TN on Sunday, November 10, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. https://www.woodbinefuneralhome.com
