Michael Kevin Mayo was called home by his Heavenly Father on November 15, 2024. Family and friends knew him as Mike or Kevin. He turned 61 on March 9th.

He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Kelli Ann Collins Mayo; his two children – Casey Marie Mayo Pierce (Wyatt) and Courtney Ann Mayo Payne (Jaret); four grandchildren – Keaton Landon Payne, Kohen Michael Payne, Zander Mikan Pierce and Levi Michael Pierce; his sister – Karen Gayle Mayo Loyal and mother – Sara Lynn Stigler Mayo.

He was preceded in death by his father, Millard Filmore Mayo, Jr.

Mike was a native Nashvillian, and attended Franklin High School (class of 1981). In 1981, Mike met his future bride, Kelli Ann Collins, and they were married on October 6, 1984. He joined the United States Air Force in 1989. Later he pursued a career in Law Enforcement.

Mike went by grandpa to his four grandchildren – and was proud of all of them. The four boys knew if something needed fixed grandpa could fix it. They even enjoyed trying to help when they could. All his family will miss him very much.

A gathering of family and friends will be held at Forest Hills Baptist Church, 2101 Old Hickory Blvd, Nashville, TN 37215, on November 25th beginning at 1:00 P.M. with a Celebration of Life service at 3:00 P.M. officiated by Brother Joe Evans in the main church sanctuary. https://www.dignitymemorial.com/obituaries/nashville-tn
