Marian Gerlene “Geri” Burgess Ragland was born in the rural community of Nameless Tennessee March 7, 1938 and departed this earth peacefully in the early morning of Oct. 31th in Murfreesboro, TN. She was 87.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Edmund O. Ragland, her sister Anna Pearl (Burgess)Ragland and brother Kelly Morris Burgess. She is the daughter of the late Walter Ray Burgess and Noda Lou Davidson.
Gerlene was a member of Wingate Church of Christ and spent her life in the Woodbine community. She was an avid gardener, decorator and collector. She loved the country life and enjoyed spending time at her cabin with her dearest friends.
She is survived by her son, Jeffrey Todd Ragland (Danita Ragland) of Mount Juliet, TN, daughter Misty Ragland Ezell (Adam Ezell) and beloved granddaughter Olivia Shea Ezell.
Her services will be held at Woodlawn Roesch-Patton Funeral Home and Memorial Park Wed Nov 5th. Visitation is 10:00a – 12:00p with services held at 12:00pm. https://www.dignitymemorial.com/obituaries/nashville-tn
