Lolann W. Roberts, formerly Lolann Brown, a Nashville native who spent her last years in Livingston, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on October 25, 2025 at the age of 83.

She is survived by her loving husband, James L. “Jim” Roberts, Jr. of Celina, Tennessee, her daughter Joan Brown Smith (Matt) of San Luis Obispo, California, her son John P. “Jack” Brown, III (Cindy) of Nashville, Tennessee, her five grandchildren Leah Hazel Bayston, Thaddeus Scott Bayston (Rachel), Audrey Ruth Bayston of Alamo, California, and Jackson Porter Brown and Isaac Drake Brown of Nashville, Tennessee and Jim’s daughters Laura Roberts Sores (Peter) and Melissa Roberts LaMarshe (Derek).

Lolann was born Lolann Olivine Wamser in Nashville on May 27, 1942.

She was preceded in death by her parents Walter Frank Wamser and Zena Richards Wamser.

She graduated from Hillsboro High School in 1960. She later graduated from Memphis State University and Peabody College where she received a master’s degree in education. She enjoyed a career as a teacher in the Franklin City School District, as well as careers in real estate and interior décor. Lolann spent many years as a mentor and volunteer at the Tennessee Women’s Prison in Nashville.

A devout Christian, Lolann was a past member of Calvary United Methodist Church and Saint Bartholomew Episcopal Church. With her strong faith and a firm belief in the power of prayer, Lolann helped lead her children, family and friends toward the Grace of God. Lolann and Jim were active members at Belmont Church for many years hosting weekly cell groups in their home. Lolann loved cooking, walking the trails at Radnor Lake, boating on Dale Hollow Lake and attending her kid’s and grandkid’s sporting events.

The family would like to thank the staff at Overton County Health and Rehabilitation for the care and compassion they showed our loved one in her final two years.
