Lois Ann Griggs Jennette, 94, born September 6, 1930 in Nashville, Tennessee, passed peacefully at her home on November 24, 2024.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John F. Griggs & Mabel Odel Barnes; her only child, Arthur M. Jennette; husband, Morris N. Jennette; sister, Virginia Witherspoon (Bill) and brother, Ernest (Bubba) S. Griggs (Jean).
Lois was a devoted Christian and faithful member of Woodson Chapel Church of Christ for over 80 years.She enjoyed her family and was devoted to her mother until her death in June 1995. She enjoyed her church family and the charities they supported, including sewing and making quilts. She donated many of those quilts to charities, family members, friends, and neighbors. She also devoted much of her time to putting flowers on friends, and loved one graves on a weekly basis. Lois was a graduate of Central High School and went on to a secretary for Kusan and Automotive Wholesalers before her retirement, along with her many real estate investments.
Lois is survived by David L. Griggs, Sharon (Ricky) Robinson and Robert H. Witherspoon who took loving care of her in her last years after losing her loving husband of 73 years. Also including many more nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
