It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Laura Denise Poole “Mudd”, age 70, of Goodlettsville, who passed away Sunday, November 24, 2024 at the Skyline Medical Center while being treated for an injury.
Laura was born August 24, 1954, in Dyersburg, TN, to the late George M. Poole and the late Aline Clifton Poole.
She retired from the Tennessee Department of Finance and Administration where she was an Accounting Technician 2 for 39 years. Her hobbies included baking, watching Hallmark Christmas movies and crocheting. Laura was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, Ms. Poole was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, James Henry and Lyda Emma Witt Poole; and maternal grandparents, Dewey E. and Minnie M. Williams Clifton.
She is survived by brother, Larry D. (Diane) Poole; sister, Lynne D. Poole; niece, Katherine M. Poole; nephews, Andrew K. Poole, and Joshua L. (Sharon) Poole; great nieces, Corynne A. Meadows, and Lyndia D. Poole; great-nephews, Michael L. Poole, Christopher A. Poole, William K. Poole, and Joshua A.G. Poole.
Graveside services will be conducted at 1:30 pm Tuesday, December 3, 2024 in the Oakland Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 11 am until 1 pm Tuesday, December 3rd at the Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Springfield.
