Kenneth Lee Groomes, the retired President and Owner of Southern Colortype Company passed away on May 25, 2023.
Mr. Goomes was preceded in death by his parents, Reid Thomas Groomes and Lelia Mai Groomes; his wife, Ludine Edwards Groomes; sister, Iris L. Groomes and brother, Reid B. Groomes.
Mr. Groomes is survived by his daughter, Lee Anne Groomes Hofstetter (Chris) and his son, Dr. Thomas E. Groomes (Melody); grandchildren, Christian Sanders Hofstetter, Jr., Daniel Lee Hofstetter, Katherine Dawn Groomes and Reid Kenneth Groomes.
Mr. Groomes was a graduate of Vanderbilt University, and served as a pilot in the United States Air Force, serving in the Far East under the Strategic Air Command.
A gathering of family & friends for Kenneth will be held Saturday, June 3, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home & Memorial Park, 660 Thompson Ln, Nashville, TN 37204.
