Kathy Karns, age 74 of Joelton, TN, passed away June 1st, 2025.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Richard Deese.
Kathy is survived by her son; daughter-in-law; step-daughter; 2 sisters; several grandchildren; nieces; and her nephew.
After earning her Master’s Degree, she spent her working years as a special education instructor within the Nashville Metropolitan School District.
To know Kathy was to love her.. she was known for her free spirit and love of nature. She spent many nights moongazing and held a passion for crystals. Above all, she loved educating children as well as being a mother, grandmother, and teacher to all.
Visitation with the family will take place Wed. June 11th from 3PM until the hour of Memorial Service at 5PM at Anderson and Garrett Funeral Home. https://www.andersonandgarrett.com
