Kathleen K. Gregory, age 91, of Nashville, Tennessee, passed away on Tuesday, May 6, 2025.
Kathleen Gregory, beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on May 6, 2025, in Nashville, Tennessee, at the age of 91. Born in Hendersonville on July 21, 1933, she lived a life marked by deep faith, devotion to family, and quiet strength.
A graduate of Hendersonville High School, Kathleen was valedictorian of the Class of 1951. She began her career at a Nashville insurance company but soon embraced her true calling—dedicating herself fully to raising her family. In later years, she returned to the workforce at Northern Telecon.
Kathleen was a devoted member of the Holy Rosary Catholic Community and found great joy in life’s simple pleasures: cultivating flowers, watching birds, and cheering on her favorite baseball teams—Vanderbilt and the Atlanta Braves. Her faith and her family were the cornerstones of her life, and she leaves behind a legacy rich in faith, strength, and love.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William Leroy and Mary Ellen Davy Kirkpatrick; her husband, L.C. Gregory Jr.; her son and daughter-in-law, Stephen and Martene Gregory; and her siblings: Bill Kirkpatrick, Winnie Boone, Agnes Kirkpatrick, Margaret Kirkpatrick, Jim Kirkpatrick, John Kirkpatrick, Robert Kirkpatrick, and Richard Kirkpatrick.
Kathleen is survived by her children: Vicky Gregory, Wayne Gregory (Leigh Anne), Michael Gregory (Rhonda), and Kathy Derryberry (Barry). Twelve grandchildren: Justin Gregory (Kat), Jennifer Gourley (Wayne), Rachel Hunt (Jon), Bethany Gregory (Dave Udesky), Katie Gregory, Michelle Gregory (Brooke), Sarah Drake (Dan), Amber Moore (Clay), Caleb Gregory (Brittany), Dana Frazier (Joe), David Gregory (Casey), and Paige Fiscu (Andrew); and eight great-grandchildren: Corbin Moore, Adrian Gregory, Riley Moore, Lucia Gregory, C.J. Moore, Daniel Gregory, Drew Gregory, and Everly Gregory.
Kathleen’s grandchildren and great-grandchildren brought her immeasurable joy and pride. Her legacy lives on through them and all who were fortunate enough to know her.
A funeral Mass celebrating Kathleen’s life will be held on Friday, May 9 at 10:30 a.m. at the Church of the Holy Rosary, located at 192 Graylynn Drive, Nashville, TN 37214. Visitation will precede the service at 9:30 a.m. Interment will follow immediately at Woodlawn Cemetery on Thompson Lane.
Pallbearers will be Justin Gregory, Caleb Gregory, David Gregory, Jon Hunt, Dan Drake, Wayne Gourley, Joe Frazier, and Andrew Fiscu.
