Joyce Elaine Wilson Lane went to be with her Lord on November 15th, 2024, surrounded by family and friends.
Joyce was born on May 26, 1948 in Athens, Alabama, and moved to Nashville, TN as a young girl with her parents and brother. She attended Central High School in Nashville and later met and married the love of her life, Ed Lane. Together, they built a loving family and welcomed countless others into their family throughout their lives. Joyce was a dedicated daughter, sister, wife, and mother. Her grandchildren and great-grandson A.J. brought joy and sunshine into her life. Joyce spent many years as a server at Couser’s Country Kitchen.
Joyce was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Clarence Edward Lane; her sister, Vicki Jean Wilson Robertson; her brother, Ricky Harold Wilson; her parents, Edward and Edna George Wilson; and a grandson, Eddie Johnson.
She is survived by her three children: Kimberly Lane Johnson (Troy Huffman), Frankie Lane (Nita), and Aaron Lane (Lisa). She also leaves behind three grandchildren: Brittney Danielle Johnson (Ally), Alisha Lane Hall (Alex), and Alison Nicole Phelps (James); and one great-grandchild, Anderson James Hall. Additionally, she is survived by her brother, Thomas Edward Wilson (Cathie); a son-in-law, Scott Johnson; her cherished niece, Kandi Lynn Robertson; and other nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at Woodbine Funeral Home, Hickory Chapel at 5852 Nolensville Road, Nashville, TN on Friday, November 22, 2024. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. with services at 2:00 p.m. Interment will be at Woodlawn Cemetery at 660 Thompson Lane, Nashville, TN. https://www.woodbinefuneralhome.com
