Jonathan-Christopher-Marinelli

After a tragic motorcycle accident took the life of Jonathan Christopher Marinelli (Jon) on May 18, 2025, the world became dimmer. Jon was born in Pompano Beach, Florida on October 29, 1975. Although Jon lived in Cobb County, Georgia for many years, it is Nashville, Tennessee where Jon called home.

Whether it was in his many hobbies, such as motorcycle riding, fishing and remote-control helicopter flying, or at work completing an automobile repair or more recently a pool repair, Jon never completed a task half-heartedly. He was meticulous, brilliant and skilled in whatever objective he was trying to fulfill. Jon was an adored father, husband, son, uncle, brother, friend and colleague. Jon was a valued Repair Manager at Watermark Pool Services. He was a champion for those who were most vulnerable, and Jon would literally give the shirt off his back to someone in need. Jon was a valued member of the recovery community, and his example during the past four years of his sobriety served as a guide to many.

Jon is preceded in death by his grandparents, Michael J. Marinelli, Lois Lane Marinelli and Betty Jean Head Miller, as well as his niece, Savannah Cagle.

In his death, Jon left behind his beloved daughter, Amelia Noelle Marinelli, his sister, Felicia Cagle, his half-sister, Jessica Burch, his half-brother, Anthony Marinelli, his parents, Marilyn Allen and Michael Marinelli, his stepparents, Joy Marinelli and William Allen, his former spouse, Mary Levinson-Marinelli, his step-son, Soren Levinson-Creasey, his brother-in-law, Alan Cagle, his nephews, Riley Cagle and A.J. Cagle, his niece, Payton Cagle, and many other extended family members.

Jon’s unexpected and untimely death leaves a hole in his community, for he was a strong force whose impact was felt by anyone with whom he came in contact. The world may be dimmer without Jon Marinelli’s presence, but Jon is now a shining star in the heavens. Jon will forever remain in the hearts of all who love him.
