John G. Adams, Jr., age 71, of Franklin, Tennessee, passed away after a brief illness on October 24, 2025. He was known as “Buddy” to his many friends, family, and especially his beloved grandchildren.
He loved to play golf and tennis. In fact, he thought playing golf was his job, getting up early every morning, no matter the weather.
He was a Scoutmaster of Boy Scout Troop 444, and proudly helped many young men achieve Eagle Scout, including his son.
John is survived by his wife of 49 years, Donna; his son, John G. Adams, Ill “Trey” (Lancie); and daughter, Casey Nicole Adams; three grandchildren, Rylee Adams; Myles Adams; and Emma Stacey.
Buddy loved UT football, basketball, and baseball. Most of his apparel was orange, as well as his golf bag.
