Jimmy Adams, Jr. passed away on Sunday, September 15 at the residence of Alive Hospice. Jimmy was preceeded in death by his beloved mother, Barbara Woodard Adams and his father, Jimmy Louis Adams, Sr. He is survived by his daughter, Lauren Adams Teal (Travis), his son, Austin Tyler Adams and six grandchildren. He has many more family members that loved him very much.
Jimmy graduated Glencliff High School (1987) and went on to attend the University of Tennessee where he graduated with honors. He went on to be in advertising where he won several awards before moving into marketing. Some of Jimmy’s favorite past times were watching sports, especially University of Tennessee football, the Tennessee Titans, and the Nashville Predators. He also enjoyed bowling, playing pool, stand up comedy, and listening to music. He has many friends who loved him deeply and will miss him tremendously.
As per his request, Jimmy will be cremated and eventually laid to rest next to his mother. There will be an informal gathering on Saturday, October 5 at Ellis Funeral Home from 11-1. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Alive Hospice.
