It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Jerry Louis McCord, 91, on March 6, 2025.
Born September 13, 1933 in Nashville, Tennessee, Jerry was the son of Boyd Ether and Euma Lee McCord.
Jerry lived a life filled with love, commitment, and hard work. He dedicated over 30 years of service to the Nashville Gas Company before retiring. He was well-known for his integrity and strong work ethic.
He was a devoted husband to his wife of over 35 years, Nancy McCord. He was a loving father to his children Louis McCord (Rhonda) and Lynn McCann (Bill). His legacy lives on through his grandchildren Sharon Ashcraft, Kyle Green, Bill McCann, Chris McCann, Jessica Nalley and seven great-grandchildren. All of them were the light of his life.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, by his beloved daughter, Karen Green, and by his first wife and mother of his children, Sarah McCord. He will be remembered for his gentle spirit, warm heart, and the joy he brought to all who knew him.
A service to celebrate Jerry’s life will be held on Monday, March 10, 2025 at 1:00 pm with visitation beginning at 12:00 pm at Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home, 660 Thompson Lane, Nashville, Tennessee 37204. Burial will follow the service. https://www.dignitymemorial.com/obituaries/nashville-tn
Jerry will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. May he rest in peace.
