Funeral services for longtime Carthage and Hartsville businessman, Jerry Gammon, are scheduled to be conducted on Thursday afternoon June 26th at 1 p.m. from the Carthage United Methodist Church of which he was a longtime member.
Visitation will be on Wednesday afternoon June 21st from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the Carthage Chapel of Sanderson Funeral Home and on Thursday at Sanderson in Carthage from 10 a.m. until leaving for the church at 12:40 p.m.
Mr. Gammon passed peacefully on Sunday morning at his Morris Drive home with all his family at his bedside. Mr. Gammon will best be remembered as owner of Carthage Foodland and Hartsville Foodland and the former Ben Franklin Store in Carthage.
He is the husband of Carthage native, the former Suzanne Davis, and the father of Heather Gammon, Christine Gammon England, and twins Julie Gammon Wyatt and Jerry Wayne Gammon; sister, Jeanette Gammon Watts.
