It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Jennie Faye Frye Clements, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Jennie lost her battle with Glioblastoma and left this world on Monday, October 7, 2024, surrounded by family. Jennie leaves behind a legacy of love, compassion, and a lifetime of cherished memories.
Jennie is predeceased by her parents, David Haskel and Sammie Ethelene Frye.
Jennie is survived by her loving husband Claude Andrew Clements and her three daughters: Kellie Clements Moore (Jeffrey), Kerrie Clements Hall (Jason), and Claudia Clements Emfinger (David); her five grandchildren: Carson and James Hall; Amelia, Thomas, and Anderson Emfinger; her sister Eleanor Lee Walker and niece, Kimberly Faye Walker, as well as countless other nieces, nephews and friends who will forever hold her dear.
Born on August 2, 1941, Jennie grew up in Brush Creek, TN and attended Watertown High School. She was a remarkable individual whose vibrant, caring spirit touched the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her. Jennie was selfless, kind, compassionate and hard working. She was a beacon of kindness and warmth, always ready to help others with unwavering support and guidance.
Family was the cornerstone of Jennie’s life. She was a devoted wife of 56 years to her loving husband, Claude. Jennie’s children were her pride and joy, as were her grandchildren. She poured her heart and soul into loving them unconditionally and teaching them to do the same. They will cherish her wisdom, warmth, and endless devotion forever.
Jennie built a distinguished career in real estate, where her keen insight and dedication transformed countless lives. Known for her exceptional negotiation skills and commitment to her clients, she became a trusted advisor and mentor to many in the industry. Jennie considered her clients her extended family, often babysitting their children and attending special events for her client-family.
Consistently a Top 10 Agent throughout her career, Jennie won Agent of the Year multiple times and was also a member of the President’s Circle. She received her final award, Heart of a Champion, in February 2024 which exemplified exactly who she was and how she lived.
Beyond her professional endeavors, Jennie volunteered at Meals on Wheels and the Tennessee Baptist Children’s Home. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church where she attended regularly. Jennie enjoyed watching her grandchildren play sports and dance she rarely missed a game or performance. She loved spending time with family and friends, especially on Holidays when everyone was together.
Jennie’s Family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to Mirna Alvayero and The Vanderbilt Palliative Care Team for the compassionate care provided to Jennie during her battle with Glioblastoma. Their kindness, dedication, and professionalism meant the world to the family during this challenging time.
Jennie has found peace and rest, and her family takes comfort in knowing she is watching over them from above. Her legacy of love, strength, and kindness will continue to inspire her family and friends for generations to come.
Services will be at First Presbyterian Church, Nashville, TN. Visitation Monday, October 14th, 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. and Tuesday, October 15th, 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. A Memorial Service will follow on Tuesday, October 15th at 11 a.m. https://www.dignitymemorial.com/obituaries/nashville-tn
