Nashville – Jeanette “Jeannie” Thompson passed away peacefully on May 25, 2025 at The Residence at Alive Hospice in Nashville at the age of 91. Jeannie was born in Croydon, England and moved to the States when she was 21 years old. She loved reading, drinking coffee and thrifting. She is preceded in death by her parents, James and Maggie Armstrong of England, her sister, Margaret Evans of England and her daughter, Belinda Brady of Nashville TN.
Jeannie is survived by her two sons, Jack (Margaret) Brady of Pensacola, FL and James Elliott of Lavergne, TN. As well as grandchildren Kim (Dennis) Sinor, Chris Brady, Mandy (Nick) Fuller, Meghan Campbell, Katie (Micah) Gill, and Sarah (Brian) Miller. “Granny” also had 15 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
A heartfelt thank you to her special friend Vernon “Butch” Lyle for taking such good care of her.
Her wishes were to be cremated with no service. If you wish, please make a donation in her name to Alive Hospice Nashville.
