Jane Frances (Feely) Guzikowski of Nashville, TN passed away peacefully on July 29th at the age of 96 years.

Born September 27, 1927 to Jane T. (Mynaugh) and Maurice Feely in Philadelphia, she grew up on Chestnut Street in West Philly, graduated from St. Leonard’s Academy in 1946, and matriculated to nearby Immaculata College, graduating with a B.A. in English in the class of 1950.

While at Immaculata, she met her future husband Frank Guzikowski (then a student at Villanova University) at a joint student newspaper meeting held by the two colleges. They were married in 1952 and enjoyed many happy years together up until Frank’s passing in 2012. They resided and raised their family in Havertown, PA and Devon, PA, before relocating to Nashville, TN in 1976.

Jane was a voracious reader, particularly of biographies and nonfiction. She had an uncanny knack for the New York Times Sunday Crossword and enjoyed watching Jeopardy! and following the Philadelphia Phillies. Jane carried herself in a quiet, dignified manner, and was the embodiment of “not worrying about things in life that you can’t control.” She took great joy in hearing about the goings on of her extended family. We will always remember her seated at the dining room table with a cup of tea, reading the paper or on the phone with a family member or friend.

Jane is survived by her seven children, eighteen grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She was the loving mother of Frank J. Jr. (Melany) of Miami, FL, Susan (Phillip) Farris of Cincinnati, OH, Thomas (Sally) of Canton, GA, Robert (Virginia) of Nafplio, Greece, Janet (John) Kelleher of Dallas, TX, Michael (Sonia) of Brighton, MA, and Christopher (Patricia) Guzikowski of Belmont, MA.

Family and Friends are invited to a Viewing at Marshall-Donnelly-Combs Funeral Home, 201 25th Avenue North, Nashville TN 37203 on Friday, August 2, 2024 from 4:00 until 7:00 PM. https://www.dignitymemorial.com/obituaries/nashville-tn
