James Timothy “Tim” Floyd, age 66, of Nashville, Tennessee, passed away surrounded by loved ones. Born and raised in Nashville, Tim spent nearly all his life in the city he loved.
He is preceded in death by his parents, James Little Floyd and Catherine Susan Floyd.
Tim is survived by his children, Alice Anne Sally (Edward) and James Timothy Floyd Jr. (Haley); his grandchildren, Clarke, Emmaline, Keeleigh, and Crosby; his sister, Beth Floyd Hoffman; and his niece, Melissa Judith Bowles. He cherished each of them deeply and was exceptionally proud of his growing family.
Tim enjoyed a long and successful career as a semi-truck driver, spending more than 17 years with Ajax Turner and over 11 years with FedEx.
Throughout his career, he formed lifelong friendships and was known for his dedication, reliability, and the pride he brought to his work.
Outside of work, Tim’s greatest passion was fishing. Whether spending early mornings casting a line with close friends, competing in tournaments, or making sure every beach trip included a deep-sea fishing adventure, he found joy on the water. Fishing was not just a hobby for Tim—it was where he felt at home.
Tim will be remembered for his big heart, his generous spirit, and the special way he made his friends and family feel loved. His presence will be deeply missed, but his warmth and legacy live on in all who knew him.
Visitation will be on Friday, December 12, 2025, 3:00pm-6:00pm at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home, 9090 Hwy100, Nashville, TN
