James “Jim” Miles, age 83, of Rossville, Georgia passed away on Tuesday, May 20, 2025. Jim was born Saturday, November 8, 1941 in Madison, Tennessee.
Jim is preceded in death by his parents, James and Lela Miles; wife, Barbara Miles; brothers, Jerry and Benny Miles; sister, Mary Denny.
A self employed carpenter and member of Carpenters’ Local 507; enjoyed fishing and hunting; a fan of the Tennessee Titans.
He is survived by his sisters, Ruth Jackson, Ruby (Bill) Cobb; brothers, Jessie (Martha) Miles, Tommy (Melodye) Miles; his niece and caregiver Tiffany Groves, along with several nieces and nephews.
A visitation for Jim will be held Tuesday, May 27, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 1150 South Dickerson Road, Goodlettsville, TN 37072. https://www.dignitymemorial.com/obituaries/goodlettsville-tn
A celebration of life will be Wednesday, May 28, 2025 from 11:00 AM with Bro. John Murray officiating in the chapel of Forest Lawn Funeral Home at 1150 South Dickerson Road, Goodlettsville, TN 37072.
Burial will follow in the Masonic Garden of Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Nephews will service as active pallbearers; honorary Jessie Miles, Tommy Miles and Brogan Groves.
