James Gilbert Cook, 78, of Ridgetop, Tennessee died peacefully on Monday, August 29th, 2022 after a short illness.
James was born in April of 1944, the middle son of the late Garnett Morgan Cook and Nilmah Trowbridge Cook.
Jimmy lived his childhood in Inglewood and attended Isaac Litton High School. He served in the US Army, and later with the Nashville District Corps of Engineers, retiring in 2005.
Jimmy is survived by his 108 year old mother; sons, Christopher James Cook and Jason Daniel Cook of Nashville; his Brothers, Clinton Morgan (Sharon) Cook of Kingston Springs and Terry Bruce (Jeri) Cook of Ridgetop.
At Jimmy’s request, no memorial is planned. His cremated remains will be interred in Nashville National Cemetery in Madison.
